Enables other voluntary organisations to focus on their core activities by providing accommodation and services at low cost while maintaining very high quality.

ECAS

Dedicated to giving friendly and practical help to physically disable people. To achieve this ECAS does everything from running classes through to providing individual grants for holidays and equipment and supporting initiatives to bring greater freedom to physically disabled people.

Edinburgh Cyrenians

Provide accommodation opportunities and support for young homeless people. The Smartmove project provides guarantees for landlords for tenants who cannot afford a deposit. They also run a refugee drop-in service at St Georges West church and farm for residential volunteers.

Edinburgh Tenants Federation

Represents the interests of tenants and residents in the City of Edinburgh.

Edinburgh Young Carers Project

To provide support for children and young people who have caring responsibilities at home.

FABB Scotland

Aims to empower people who have disabilities to engage in the social, leisure and educational activities of their choice. 22 clubs across Scotland, 3 youth clubs in Edinburgh.

Fairbridge In Scotland

Part of UK wide Fairbridge organisations which aims to offer long-term personal development programme to inner city young people. The FIS office fundraises for the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Dundee teams.

Grapevine

Grapevine provides information, mostly by telephone, on matters such as benefits, housing, transport and equipment for disabled people in the Edinburgh area.

Intowork

Employment assistance to people with disabilities - one to one support, getting disabled people into employment, creating their own jobs and giving network support to employers seeking help in this area. Provide a database of employers, help organisations to market to employers for disability employment and have an interactive web site.

Lothian Centre for Integrated Living

Assist disabled people to live independently in the community by means of independent living, payroll, and training and peer counselling services.

MILAN

MILAN (SWO) Ltd is a day care provision for older Asian people from Indian Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Mauritian communities.

National Playbus Association

To support and promote mobile community projects through advice, information and training.

A mental health charity that provides support services for vulnerable people across Scotland.

Shakti Women’s Aid

Provides support, information, counselling and safe temporary accommodation for ethnic minority women who are suffering from domestic violence or any form of abuse.

Skill Scotland

National organisation of disabled students - information service for individuals and institutions, lobbying and advice on policy development, voluntary projects for disabled people, monitoring developments - FE and HE, training and careers advice.

SkillNet

Training and adult guidance project which seeks to empower black minority ethnic people, helping them access sustainable employment directly or via appropriate education and training programmes.

Upward Mobility

Working with disadvantaged and vulnerable people in a positive and creative way.

Venture Scotland

Provides programmes for young people with limited opportunities with an emphasis on personal and social development, shared experiences and enjoyment in an outdoor setting.

Visualise

Assist multi disabled visually impaired children and adults to help them fulfil their maximum physical, intellectual, emotional and social potential and providing residential and day-care assistance.

Women Onto Work

Women onto Work provides intensive pre-vocational training courses and guidance programmes to women who face the greatest disadvantages in terms of accessing employment, education and training opportunities
